The 14 Ft. Elco Serenity Electric Launch
The affordable new Elco Serenity 14 is the perfect small motor boat:
pollution-free, graceful and silent, with comfortable seating for four.
For daylong touring, hunting, fishing or nature photography, nothing
compares to the Serenity 14. With its Herreshoff-inspired wineglass transom hull, like
those on pulling boats throughout New England, the Serenity is not only pleasing to the
eye. It is both sea-kindly and supremely efficient. Powered by Elco's state-of-the-art
zero-emission electric propulsion system, the Serenity will cruise silently at 4 knots for
a full 50 miles. That's over ten hours of clean, odorless, effortless cruising before
recharging, for a fraction of the cost of an outboard.
Electronic throttle control provides infinite variable speed
adjustment. Smooth transition between forward and reverse means easy docking. The
Serenity's marine-grade inboard motor means that the boat can be left in the water without
risk of damage.
Lightweight and compact, it's easy to trailer, or hoist on davits
using its lifting rings. Winter storage is a snap-just put the batteries on charge, cover
the boat and put it into hibernation. With full floatation built-in, anyone can safely
operate the Serenity. This boat starts every time with the turn of a key. Tiller steering
is taut and responsive. Deck and sole are non-slip surfaced. All hardware is stainless
steel. The Serenity requires no maintenance.
Vibration-free, the Serenity offers a uniquely tranquil experience:
the sound of water lapping the hull is the loudest thing you'll hear.
Passengers can talk without shouting, and easily converse between
ship and shore. Wildlife is undisturbed by the boat's passage, and it leaves virtually no
wake. Magictouch® cushions are removable and washable. And the easy-to-operate canopy
offers on-call shade and weather protection. For peace of mind, and best of all, the
Serenity is an Elco. Our legendary company launched its first electric boats a hundred
years ago, and electric-powered Elco's from that era still operate on lakes and waterways
across the country. The Serenity is a worthy inheritor of Elco's long line of smooth,
elegant, touring vessels-but now at a price that brings them within reach of all. So if
you're looking for a small motorboat, but are tired of the nose, the splutter and the
inconvenience of outboards, discover Serenity 14. It's a whole different world.
